I have a 42" plasma TV monitor. I want to keep it vertically on a stand. Will this damage the plasma?

Can putting the plasma tv vertically damage it?

Answer:
NO, but it might be harder to find a vertical Mounting Kit..
Most are Horizontal mounts.

I will assume you are DISPLAYING ART? OR Using it as a Sketchpad, or Electronic Drawing Board or Something using AutoCad?

IF you're using it for a lot of time, the Image most likely will burn into the Unit..
I'd suggest if it's Electronic and computer based, you attempt to set the unit up to display it when "awakened", and use a screen saver with 15 to 20 minutes maximum time before it goes active...I'd prefer 10 minutes or less if possible, but that's the Maximum..
NO
Plasma or LCD can be put in either orientation. You can see 42" set vertically in many malls.
nah this wont damage it , thats why the Plasma or LCd hav the Swivel features.
