cables vary in there classications and applications.
in terms of signals,the coaxial cable is good in that it has the inner conductor cavered with the insulator and on top of the insulator there is a mash to cancel any radiations for the conductor hence there will be not loses in your transmitted signal and you will have the correct output
but with modern setup i will recomend optical fibre because it has loses which are neglebily small.
