TOSHIBA TP61H95 Problem?

I HAVE A TOSHIBA 61 INCH TV. WHEN YOU TURN IT ON IT TAKES 20 MINUTES TO GET A PICTURE ON THE TV. COULD IT BE IN THE POWER SUPPLY?

Answer:
I'm assuming the sound is okay the moment you turn it on. If that is the case, then it's probably not the power supply. I never saw it on a Toshiba, but I left the business a few years ago, so they could have added this. Most CRT type projection sets have adopted a cathode bias monitor that blanks the CRTs until it is satisfied that all is well. If you have a CRT that is not meeting the criteria of this circuit, or if the circuit is defective or misadjusted, it will keep the picture blanked until everything is okay. This is one of many possibilities. The power supplies USUALLY, either work or they don't... seldom giving a symptom of no picture.
Change the bulb. Some toshibas have had bulb problems, contact toshiba and see if they will send you a replacement.

take the bulb out and take a look at it.
