When I use my lcd tv as a PC monitor (via VGA) it doesn't show videos on the tv screen. How can I fix this?

Answer:
Are you using windows media player?

Go to Tools->Options and check the "Use Overlays" options.
Check it or uncheck it and see if it helps.
It's possible that you can't fix it. VGA supports all kinds of resolution and refresh rates. It's entirely possible that your TV simply can't handle whatever you're sending it. Check the manual and see what res./refresh rates are supported, then check your computer videos properties and see if they agree. If not, the only way you could fix it would be to change the video over to something your TV can utilize.
Check your display settings for your computer and generally making it the same res. as your monitor ought to fix it.

The only way is designate your TV as the primary display.
