Can someone tell me what to use to clean the screen of my plasma t.v?

Answer:
The recommended maintenance procedures, including cleaning the screen, are nearly identical from one PDP manufacturer to another. Below are the recommended screen cleaning procedures from Pioneer and Panasonic.

From Pioneer [1]:

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL
Regular cleaning will extend the life and performance of your Pioneer plasma display panel. The recommended way to clean the display screen and vents is described below.

Note: Always unplug the panel before beginning to clean the unit.

Wipe the Display Screen (never use harsh chemicals)

CLEANING THE DISPLAY SCREEN
The display screen surface scratches easily. After dusting, gently wipe the screen using the provided cleaning cloth or a piece of soft flannel or cotton. Do NOT use a tissue, paper towel, rough-textured cloth, or a wet cloth. Rough textures can scratch the screen and water can seep under the frame edge. Also avoid rubbing or pushing on the screen.

From Panasonic [2]:

The front of the display panel has been specially treated. Wipe the panel surface gently using only a cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth.

• If the surface is particularly dirty, wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth which has been soaked in pure water or water to which a small amount of neutral detergent has been added, and then wipe it evenly with a dry cloth of the same type until the surface is dry.

• Do not scratch or hit the surface of the panel with fingernails or other hard objects, otherwise the surface may become damaged. Furthermore, avoid contact with volatile substances such as insect sprays, solvents and thinner, otherwise the quality of the surface may be adversely affected.

At the very least you should use a large (preferably 12"×12" or larger,) high quality, lint-free microfiber cloth (wipe) designed for cleaning sensitive optics. (Note: if you should feel it necessary to wet the cloth with water then you should only ever so lightly moisten the microfiber cleaning cloth using pure distilled water. You'll know when your cloth is properly moistened when water no longer drips from the cloth when you repeatedly attempt to thoroughly wring water from the cloth.)

Another option is to purchase one of the special purpose cleaning kits or solutions listed below. These may prove to be very helpful when dealing with especially tough cleaning requirements.

For added insurance I highly recommend buying some powder-free nitrile gloves to use while cleaning your equipment. I currently use the inexpensive purple Kimberly-Clark Safeskin® Nitrile Gloves [3].

you can use a microfiber cloth to wipe the screen of dust.
A water dampened cloth, no soap.

Do not use glass cleaner as it will wear down the screen.
Just use a damp rag and dry (if necessary) with paper towel or newspaper. Newspaper doesn't leave any streaks on glass, its amazing. Sometimes though it will leave behind little paper "fuzzies." Try it out once.

You don't want to spray liquid on it for fear of it running down to the bottom of the screen and getting the insides wet. (reason for damp rag) They do make a sort of gel spray for plasmas and LCDs. You can get it a Circuit City and Best Buy.
