I have a 27" LCD HDTV and im trying to get my computer to display on the tv.i have VGA cables.stil no signal

Answer:
Does your TV actually have a VGA input? Many HDTVs have only DVI or HDMI. In that case, VGA-to-DVI will not work.

If you have a VGA input, then as the other respondent said; connect the PC to the TV and reboot.
Make sure the TV is set to the PC/VGA Input source.
If you are using a laptop, there is a function + one of the F keys on top (it's different with every computer) to switch between a laptop screen and an external monitor.

However, if you don't have a laptop, chances are you don't have such a button. What I suggest is a reboot while the TV is on. This way when the computer boots it will recognize an external display and likely mirror your computer's display onto the TV.

If you'd like to do a two-monitor sort of setup, right click on the back of your desktop, select "Properties", go over to the "Settings" tab, click monitor #2, and check the box next to "Extend my Windows Desktop onto this monitor".
have you changed the video input?
