Would Best Buy match a price from a different store or website?

Where I live no retailers, including Best Buy, match Internet prices unless the Internet site has a brick and mortar store in the area. The Best Buy in your area may have a different policy, perhaps extending price matching to highly recognized Internet sources such as amazon.com. Additionally, you may find that some salesmen are more desperate for a sale and "bend" store policies to do so. They will match an Internet price but designate it in the register as matching a local retailer. It wont hurt you to try to get your price, but don't be surprised if they will not match the price you found on amazon.com.
yes they will ... you have to catch the right person though some will say yes and some say no... if someone says no find someone else keep pressing it they will give you the deal
NO, sorry they will only match newspaper ads... internet,ebay, and amazon are out of the question.
I went to Best Buy, used their computer to access the internet and found a lower price on a specific camera model. They matched it. (This was about a year ago. They no longer have internet access available in-store. I know--my bad!) Print out a page at home as proof; it can't hurt and you've got everything to gain!
I use to work there and I know during the holidays the would match anything as long as it was from a well known website. Other times of the year maybe a little dicey. Try going straight for a manager. On something that expensive they will have the say so. If some one tells you yes. Get them to write a CPO (certified purchase order). It will inculde brand model and $$$. Once you have this in your hand run to the cash register and purchase it. Once you do don't walk out of the store until you have the tv in the back of your vehicle.
I've had one instance when they did (video camera), and one instance when they didn't.
I bought the video camera right before xmas, so I'm sure that had something to do with their year-end numbers.
Never hurts to try though!
