Can a TV that is 19 in and a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels, can it do 1080i?

I don' have this TV yet, but i know its can do 720p, but i need it to produce 1080i for blu ray movies on the ps3. It's 19in and has a HDMI output.

no. it will downscale the image. but who cares? 720p looks better than 1080i.
