Wide Screen or Full Frame DVD?
Answers: No grounds for a price difference other than conceivably which version is more unusual.
But to fathom out this issue you need to get the message about "aspect ratio" -- the ratio of the distance to the height.
Normal or standard format TVs are 4:3, while widescreen (HDTV) is usually 16:9.
Now movies are film in a together range of aspect ratio, from 4:3 (1.33:1) to over 2.7:1 -- although the most poular these days are 16:9 (1.78:1), 1.85:1, and 2.35:1
So when you examine any program, unless it is exactly the same aspect ratio as the TV peak (in which case it fill the screen) there will be black bar on the top and bottom or on the sides. There are settings on most HDTVs that allow images to be altered by zoom or stretching the picture ... but these add distortion or crop some of the print, so I personally don't close to them.
Generally, it is preferable to purchase a DVD in the untested aspect ratio (usually widescreen) since this will be as the director intended it to be seen. Newer HD format disks (HD DVD and Blu-Ray) are adjectives widescreen.
Hope this helps.
I other prefer wide blind, it is more like the ingenious format and you can actually see more of what have been recoreded.
Full eyeshade has be modified to fit your screen...
