Why do some channels on camcast pixelate and freeze? Channels 115-125 do this frequently.?

Answer:
Pixellation and freezing on digital cable are usually caused by a weak signal. Typical causes are too many splits in the cable reducing the signal strength. Long runs of cable. Not enough signal to begin with, etc. etc. Call Comcast. Or, if you have several splits in the cable, get a booster amplifier and place it ahead of all the splits so as to overcome the loss in the splitters. It may interest you to know that one two way splitter cuts the signal strength in half. A four way cuts it into fourths, etc. Regardless if anything is hooked to all the outputs or not. So, reducing the number of splits can help. Also, keep in mind, that Comcast doesn't provide you with any more signal than they think you might need. Usually just enough to run a single two way splitter and two TVs. If you want more signal, they can install a "drop tap" with more signal output to your home. They tend to get a little cranky when they have to do this, so beware.
call the cable company your paying for it it needs to be fixed right poor signal level is more than likely the cause but i have seen a bad cable box do the same thing
