Which is the best way to connect PC to TV (HDMI?)?
I want to connect my PC to the TV. The TV has a PC input at the rear, and I get a great PC picture on my TV. This way I can watch downloaded AVI's (Lost, Prison Break etc) on the TV. But I dont get any sound. I have to run sound through the PC, which is a pain as all the PC kit lives in a seperate room (i just move the pc when I connect)
Is there a way of connecting to HD. ie - a lead that will carry audio and sound from the PC toi the HDMI slot on the telly. If there is such a lead, where do i get it.

You can buy DVI to HDMI adapters, but there won't be the sound plugs on it.
Are you sure that there isn't an audio input that corresponds to the PC input?
I have a Samsung LCD tv and there is a pc -In and an Audio PC in.
A DVI to HDMI cable will not work because DVI does not support audio. You can't run video and audio from your cpu with an HDMI only because you have a separate video and sound card. What you'll need is a new sound card with an audio output on it to hook to your tv (red and white).
If you really want to get fancy, leave your cpu in your room with the tv. Wire the sound to your stereo system by hooking up a wire from the headphone jack to an input on the stereo. Get a bluetooth wirelesss mouse and keyboard for your coffee table. You've got cpu on a big screen all while sitting on your couch. That's how I have mine.
Use an HDMI for video for best quality if your cpu is has an HDMI output. Or use VGA if that's all you have. Take care.
