Dlp or lcd projection tv(50 inch)?

Answer:
If you absolutely must have a projection, I would go with the DLP... they're less complicated and more likely to give better service. Both look good and are fairly reliable (except for the lamp and ballast, perhaps).
LCD by far !! DLP has way too many issues with 3-4 things, like colors being too intense(even with adjustment), colored pixels on the screen after 2-3 yrs, etc. LCD SONY, HDTV 42"- 46" Grand Wega or Bravia would be super. You would really be satisfied with either one. The Wega & the Bravia are interface engines which to give good resolution on non-HD channels, i.e. Digital. Samsung LCD is the next best in LCD. Sony got out of the DLP & Plasma business because they could see the better overall quality & durability & naturalness of the picture. I am on HD cable, using an HDMI to DVI cable instead of component & it's better. I got the cable ( a Monster one) from Ebay for $ 57.00 as opposed to $ 179.00 in Future Shop !!
