How would a deactivated cable box act, because i own a comcast cable box that i can still watch channel on, but if i click on guide or ondemand it says "to be announced" and it doesnt shift away so somebody please help.
Answers: If it be actually disconnected, you would find a black screen unless you run the cable directly from the outlet into the TV.
When it says "TBA" it have either be unplugged lately or there is an issue at the Comcast hub.. It should be short-term.
If it lasts more than an hour or two ring 1-8OO-COMCAST and they will send a alien signal to the box.
You are not deactivated :)
try rebooting it.
