What type of TV have the best picture plasma or LCD?
Any recommended brands??=)?
Answers: Both plasma and LCD have the 'screen-door' effect when looking close up. Plasma seem worse than LCD so if close seating is an issue, budge with LCD.
In expressions of which look better - there is no clear defeater: both are outstanding with true HD bits and pieces. If you calibrated both next to a calibration disk, you could not tell the difference.
You should look for:
- Number of HDMI and Component inputs. You want as lots as possible.
- HDMI 1.3 support
- Does the TV let you leap straight to an input or do you have to toggle AntA->AntB->SVideo->.... The superior unit lets you lunge straight to an input. This also makes total remotes work better.
- Does the TV have separate brightness/contrast/color setting for respectively input? The superior TV's have independent settings for respectively input so it can be adjusted for your CATV box, your DVD player, etc.
- Does the TV enjoy a black bezel/frame around the screen? Black bezel's abet improve the contrast a bit.
I hold a Sony LCD that is an XBR model. I suggest it looks awesome. You don't have to verbs about burnout near an LCD.
