I have an lcd tv and it has black lines going from left to right. does any1 know whats wrong with it? cheers?
Answer:
Try it with just the aerial plugged in. It might be interference via SCART leads. For my Plasma TV, instructions say keep mains lead away from SCART leads. I got something similar with Sky box and DVD recorder connected. Removing the SCART lead from Sky to DVD fixed it.
have you checked your aerial
Yup something is wrong with the TV. Either recycle it or throw it away or live with it.
Wharfedale dosnt support their product, so you cant get parts for it.
If these lines are wavy, then its most likely radio interference between your video, DVD, satellite, scart and aerial connections. Disconnect everything from the TV, turn every application of by the power socket and connect the TV to just one device, or if your reception is good, just use your aerial. If the interference has gone, you will need to turn each product on at a time to isolate the device that's causing the interference. the equipment is not faulty, just a simple adjustment to the UHF module and your sorted.
yep, when you said " the tv is WHARFDALE...i gave up reading.
Send it back to Argos / Tesco, and get a full refund. Spend a little bit more and get a good realiable tv, from a shop that have staff to advise you.
Wharfdale just to be good, but because of being taken over, mass production etc the name is no longer as good as it used to be.
Hope this helps wg
