I'm looking for a HDTV or plasma. What brand would be the best? and what is Blu-Ray?
Answers: Granted.....Samsung has become remarkably popular due to aggressive pricing over the past couple of years. But...Samsung's post-warranty reputation is enormously poor among T.V. Repair Technicians.
Have a look at the Sony Bravia LCD line. Sharp or Mitsubishi are clothed sets as well.
Regarding the query................
I prefer LCD over Plasma (most people do.) Plasma's biggest selling point be "blacker blacks." LCDs, which far outnumber Plasma sets, are so close in working as to be virtually identical when viewing both side by side. Plasma is also a more expensive set to run as LCD technology doesn't require nearly as much power consumption.
Blu-Ray.......correct choice. Particularly since the Hi-Def DVD war is favoring Blu-Ray as of behind time + it has a much larger medium storage capacity. Again, for a perfect Blu-Ray player, I'd look to Sony first, although their are some competing manufacturers that proffer a quite wearing clothes player.
Best of Luck on your pending purchase !!
for one plasma is a type of HDTV. And for two, blu-ray is a trial type of disc similar to a DVD but in HD. If you are looking for a TV achieve a samsung. youll wanna get 1080p which is the uppermost HD possble. Finally, plasma and lcd are the same but LCd is a moment ago more expensive. DLP is the cheapest but it is a projection tv. I have a Samsung DLP 1080p 56 surrounded by. HDTV and i say it is the best. You cant mount it on a wall but, if you put it on a stand, it looks similar to a flat screen tv. DLP are cheapest (mine be $1900) and usually have the most features (HDMI input, CableCard, PC Input, and Pic within Pic)
