What is the best HD tv to buy?

The Best you can afford. Push yourself, as price does matter. I bought an LG42PX5D from John Lewis (Free Extra Warranty)This Time last year and I'm very happy with the picture quality. Don't get a package, with DVD etc as that just means that you are getting a lesser quality TV for your money. I then bought a DVD Player with HDMI output and built in up-scaling. As it turned out, my TV does a better job of up-scaling, so I didn't need it anyway. Also buy yourself a QED Gold HDMI cable, as the quality of the picture is spectacular compared to a cheap one.
I also use QED Gold (Squart) Cables for Scart from my Sky Digibox and it does make a difference on a big screen.
One that says High Definition and not HD Ready. HD Ready TVs simply can receive HD signals and then reduce them to an image the TV is capable of displaying, full HD TVs can receive and display the full HD output, often at a higher resolution. Perhaps it's worth waiting?

'Best' depends on what you're looking for. The high-end stuff is all excellent, and you'd be happy with any of them. Panasonic has slightly better picture quality, Toshiba has optional subwoofers that give you excellent sound, etc.
Full HD... not a lot of them about at the moment.
