What type of TV is compatible with the PS3, will any LCD do, how many pixels do i need?

Answer:
The PS3 will play on any TV, from a 40 year old black and white tube to an 80" gazillion-dollar plasma. So, whatever your TV, the PS3 WILL play on it.

Now, your real question seems to be "on what kind of TV will the PS3 look best"? In that case, the PS3 outputs games in minimum 720p, maximum 1080p. So, to get the very best picture, go with a TV that can display 1080p. You will also want to use component or HDMI cables, which can deliver 1080p resolution.

Happy gaming!
I believe any tv is compatible. I have a PS3 and it works just fine on my 32 inch tube tv. I would recomend a HD TV so you get the full effect and are able to use the HD power that the PS3 gives you.
1920 x 1080 pixels...that will give you the same resolution that the PS3 is capable of producing with an HD game.

Any good NAME Brand of TV will perform well. Just stay away from the OBSCURE brands.we haven't seen any support from them..

And LOOK for 1080 NATIVE RESOLUTION.aka 1080P in the LCD/DLP/Plasma TVs..1080i on CRT and CRT projection TVs..
