Tv is off but power supply is on. will there be power consumption?

If your TV is plugged into the outlet, it will continue to consume energy. The only way to stop energy consumption is to completely unplug your TV.
i think it will.. because its on the electricity will continue to flow to the appliance then goes back in .. and in the process energy is lost .. i think .. =P
