How can I screw up a cable tv connection so it can't be watched?

So the guys I live with just took OUR cable tv connection from the living room and ran a long and annoying cable up the stairs and into their bedroom without asking me. Now I can't watch tv! I guess they missed the whole sharing thing when they were younger... Anyways, how can I screw up the connection without disconnecting the cable? I would like to put something behind the little plastic faceplate that goes into the wall. Would a decent sized magnet do anything? I don't want to ruin anything, I just want it to be annoyingly fuzzy. Any help would be great!

Answer:
Take a sewing needle, run it thru the plastic jacket of the coax so it touches the center wire.they'll have absolutely no picture.of course, you wont either..

Another thing to try, Get a splitter, and split the signal to your tv and the cable going into their room.now you both can share the signal..

Better yet, if you can find it..they have splitters with a switch on it.you flip the switch so only your TV gets signal and their Tv doesn't.
OF Course, that's VISIBLE to the eye..

Your BEST bet.get a splitter and the RF cabling to hook up BOTH TVS..NOW get 2 of the 300020 20Db attenuators listed on this website, and install them on your evil roomies cable...not your side or the main wire, but on their cable line...you get picture, they don't or very little...

Here's the website..

disconect it from the pole,outside
shoot the tv
You r being naughty...but you can stick a pin or needle through the coax and it will connect the center wire and the sheild togather causing the picture to be real bad and fuzzy...but cable wont be any good afterwards unless that section is cut out
Smear vaseline on thier TV.
If your paying the cable bill.
yep get a couple of those 20 db pads Reggie's got that will do it without ruining the cable
