I don't consider myself a stupid person, until I encountered this television. I just opened this brand new television and tried to set it up. I live in an apartment that is cable ready and I plugged the cable into the back of the TV and nothing! The display that comes up says: "No channels listed" I have the source on Tuner, tried the channel set up but it won't go any further than that. The "Ikea-like" directions are no help and reading the manuel is no help. Its Saturday, and the technical help people are off. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME? By the way, I have a SANYO LCD and it works fine! Is this HDTV impacting this in anyway? Your help is much appreciated!

First, make sure the coax (the black cable that your cable comes in on) is directly connected to the back of the TV. I am assuming you are not using a cable box. If you do this will change everything. Anway, look behind the TV when you have your cable hooked up and see if there are two areas where that coax cable can be connected. Often times, TV's of this size have dual tuners so that they can use a picture in picture or twin view feature (basically watch 2 different channels at the same time). If you see two areas where it can be connected, either disconnect the cable and hook it into the other one, or check the manual and see how to switch the TV over to the other tuner. It should just be a button on the remote control. If this isn't it, I'd recomend calling the manufacturer of the TV. Hope that helps!
