LCD Tv or Plasma Screen?

i'm thinking i want to get at LEAST a 32 inch screen, maybe bigger, as i dont plan on getting another tv any time soon.

plasma screen or lcd? pros and cons of both?
anyone know of any really good deals, or stores that sell them for discount prices, etc?

Answer:
i have a 42" pioneer plasma. it's a very nice tv, however, now LCD flat panels are the better of the 2. mine is nice, but the LCD has a little better picture and has many advanced settings you can play with. they are wicked..go to your nearest electronics store and play with them.they dont mind. and really, if you are going to buy one..it is best to do your homework first. i wish i had of waited another 2 years to have the LCD that is out now. Toshiba makes an excellent one. it is $4 grand i wont get back from the pioneer (it is now worth about $2900).
another charactersitic that sets the LCD apart is, the LCD has excellent color vibrancy whether it is in a well lit room or dark.whereas the plasma has "alright" picture in well lit room, and awesome in dark.
get a high definition flat screen lcd.. they will last alot longer than a plasma and u wont even tell the differnce in the picture

I personally feel LCD Projection tv is good

Sry i can't help with deals and stores.
Personally I go with LCD..i just recently made my first TV purchase and i went all out. I got a 55inch LCD wide screen with HD capability! OMG...HD is fabulous, i wish every station came in HD My living room is not very large, i would have to say medium size and my 55 inch is perfect. In my personal experience plasmas put off to much glare from windows in the room...so they are very positional. Best buy has hot deals, i paid $1300 for the TV and the tv stand...the stand alone was $200. I bought the floor model and it was perfect for us. great deal!
Go the plasma. It has much better blacks and hence a much better contrast. Most LCDs I have seen can only do a pasty grey whic in turn makes the whole image look crap. My parents have an expensive high def LCD and they always comment that my cheapo standard def plasma looks much better. Theres is three times the resolution, but in terms of which one is nicer to watch, the plasma wins hands down. You probably wont notice the difference in a shop because most shops are brightly lit, but in your standard lounge room you will see how bad the lcd is.
Warning : KIDS destroy LCD TV sets by throwing stuff at them.YOU HAVE KIDS? How about IDIOT FRIENDS that like to roughhouse?

Plasma will be great in Winter, but not in Summer.generates a lot of heat.it can raise the Room temp by 5 degrees..

You want to HANG it on a wall? GO high with LCD, and ANYWHERE with a Plasma.

NOT hanging it on a WALL? That table you set it on will be the same FOOTPRINT as a Hitachi Projection CRT..
AND THAT my friend is 1080i HI DEF, LOW REPAIR COST, 12 to 18 years of reliability before you need to buy another new unit...

I can guarantee that..
