LCD TV Samsung vs. Sony?
If I go with Samsung I would probably go with the 4665F set since its only 300 more and the side speakers and other tech charcteristics make it more appealing.
However, if I go with Sony I think I would rather do the XBR2 since $$$ is a deal at those prices... Please any advice would be appreciated...

If you plan on putting your money on a TV that will last a year then break, then that would be a Samsung.
But if you want a TV that has good support, parts available, and excellent picture then I would go with Sony.
Samsung,Phillips/Magnavox and RCA are THE worst Brands out there.
The brands you want to consider, the quality units are
Sony
Toshiba
Mitsubishi
Pioneer
Hitachi
As a repair shop, we and both Sears get nothing but Samsung and Phillips junk calls for warranty repair non-stop.
And the picture cant even compare to a Sony, even if they have the same specs.
