How does the Video Quality Look on a PC to TV converter Box through S video to the tv?
AND i know S video is not meant for a super HIGH DEF picture, i basically want a Decent picture that i can read the text surf the lattice and watch movies from my notebook and maybe play games lacking having to squint to read the Shaky and Blurry schoolbook. In other words I want the BEST picture through S video Since its my only choice (VGA to Component converter boxes are very Pricey and i do not wanna spend 100$ for one)
Answers: As long as you use S video, adjectives you're getting is SD and your desktop will not be good on your PC. The PC to TV converter won't aid. There are two ways to improve the situation. The first is to use a VGA to component converter. See interconnect. DO NOT USE A VGA TO RGB CABLE!
Such a cable is not VGA to component, even though both have RGB connectors on them. The better, and smaller quantity expensive way is to upgrade your PC's video card. This will furnish you multiple choices of how to connect to the TV. I suggest you look at the PNY nVidia 7600GS as a good example of a board to use.

S-video is set to 480i resolution, it's never going to look really good on a big eyeshade TV.
If your computer has a DVI video output and your TV have a HDMI input, a "DVI to HDMI adapter" is real cheap.
I'm sure you can obtain a DVI out video card and HDMI adapter (or HDMI to DVI cable) cheaper than a VGA to component converter.
