How do you program your TV if you lost your remote control?

or repair the menu button by putting in a new one.
if it does not have the buttons on the front ( or side) you cant, contact the manufacturers they will be able to source a remote for even the oldest model !
My remote just stopped working one day. I got another remote, but it doesn't work either. So now I have to actually get up to do anything to the boobtube. :)
If you can't get a universal remote to work, and the menu buttons don't have a add channel or auto program feature then you, like me are out of luck. It sounds like we both need to buy a new tv.
