If major catastrophe (earthquake, etc) how can we best insure TV service?

Would satallite, dish or cable most likely provide continuing service?

Answer:
Since cable depends on land lines whether it be overhead or underground that would be likely damaged in an earthquake which would result in widespread outages I would have to say that satellite would be more reliable. This assumes that your dish isn't knocked out of alignment by the quake. As long as your dish is still aligned you will have service provided you have power. In a hurricane then you may have weather fade from the heavy cloud cover of the storm.Since you asked about quakes I can only guess that you are closer to the west coast than the gulf coast though,so except for major storms which can cause temporary signal loss satellite is more reliable.
Unless you have a generator then your out of luck. The best media service in this case would be a radio.
