I was having problems getting a clear reception on my TV. A friend of mine told me that it would improve if I poured salt into my TV! So, I did. Now there is about 1/2 pound of table salt in my TV. How can I get this shat out without damaging my TV? Also, will it even matter if I leave it in there?

First step is to get two doctors to commit your friend to a mental institution so that he can`t give any dumber advice !
Salt is electronics worst enemy ! just ask anyone who lives on the sea front !!.
Take vacuum cleaner nozzle and suck it all out ! pick the TV up and shake it like hell while thumping the sides and top till every last grain is removed ! Pray to all the Gods that none is left and sacrifice two goats and a lamb for good measure ! Cheers Pete.
