Tv Licenses do we still inevitability them?
Answers: i dont see why we should have to enjoy a tv licence these days as we can view pretty much whatevr we want thru a computer...
take bbci for example....... u can sit and keep under surveillance bbc programs online............pay for internet and for digital channel and ALL TVS are going digital in the switch over so why do we stipulation a licence?........... its just another con from the govenment to squeeze money out of us and it is wrong. contained by the days when tvs were a luxury not a standard household item after i can understand the fees for have a tv but this is 2008 and i dont know anyone at all that have not got at lowest possible 1 tv in here home so its all a money spinner , besides which isnt it roughly speaking time they prosecuted people that are in fact deserving of it such as rapists and drug dealers and the adjectives the rest of it ?? leave us mere tv addict alone....!!
They could not detect you before - detector vans are adjectives a con.
They bascially have a inventory of all hosueholds beside a TV and then terrify people beside these vans into buying one. The onyl way they can prove it is if they knock on your door and you tolerate them in and the see a tv. You can refuse permission for them entry so I wouldn't worry.
They can grasp a court order to gain entry but if it get that far, the just buy one.
If you are acceptance any kind of radio or TV transmissions either by analogue or by digital ability you are required by law to own a television license. You involve a license even you just receive Sky TV on any nature of equipment.
Don't be fooled by people recounting you old wives tale, if you don't have a license and you draw from caught you will be prosecuted.
Marky is right, they are a con. My friend used to drive the detector vans for a bit extra money. There are no detectors though. They only enjoy a list of address that do not have a licence. If you shift to any store that sells TVs DVD players etc, they will ask for your cross and address to send to the TV licencing relations. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE THEM YOUR DETAILS. WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD ABOUT FLAT SCREEN'S IS A LOAD OF BULL.
