My 65" sony tv 2.5 yrs old just started to show text on the screen as wavy. even the tivo listings are wavy. the picture itself is ok but anything that appears onscreen in text like the cable info has this weird wave loook. Also on hd channels the top left of the screen gets a little wavy. programs recorded on tivo and transferred to my pc are fine.
I have never had a problem with this tv or other sony models and this one is perplexing. Will I need a technician?

Whats your model number.
try playing a DVD through a different input and if you still see it there then its something wrong with the tv.
I would double check your cable connections to be sure all are making good contacts.
