How do you know if your tv is an hdtv?
Answer:
It should say on the front of it "HD Ready"
Check out the owners manual, or the box of the TV, or just something that lists the specs. It should be on there.

Looking up that number, that is only the remote control number, not the tv. It will tell you on the tv, or on the box if it is HD. You can't get away from all the stickers!
Alternatively invite a man into the house. If he stands in front of the tv and shouts "WOW", then it's HD! :P
If it's HD then it should say "HD Ready", and also you can ask the guy at the store that you bought what kind of TV it is.
If it is a HDTV then it should say HDTV printed on the TV.
Knowing the technology / size and age I don't think it's HDTV. If you have a VGA port on the TV try connection you computer to it. If you don't have a computer connector then it's also a sign of it not being HD.
If you can locate max resolution your computer can display on TV is less than VGA then it's not VGA.
