Can I use Australian appliances (tv's, dvd players etc.) in Europe?

Answer:
With the right adaptors, yes. You may need a transformer to convert the voltage, and you will certainly need a plug adaptor. Those weird Australian angled prongs won't fit anyone else's. My suggestion is to learn all you can about voltage and power for the appliances in question and the voltage available in the country you want to travel to. Here's a start for you:

With regard to Australian appliances such as hair dryers, shavers etc that run on straight mains voltage then all you need is an adaptor to convert the Aussie type plug to European, the voltage is the same ie 250volts ac . You can buy a universal adaptor at Dick Smiths etc ! . As regards TV well you had best take a multi standard TV as the sound is different frequency France has SECAM for TV . Australia and NZ and UK has PAL CTV ,DVD players of course also have regional differences. Regards Pete !

Gee Peachy I bet you were glad that I was here to help you again !
MY qualification I am Australian ! ( 27 years )
