Is Samsung a good brand for plasma t.v's?

Answer:
Samsung right now is the best brand for LCD TVs, which if your buying a TV under 46" or so i would suggest that technology over plasma. the best in plasma right now would be panasonic, and samsung. they both last around 25 years with average TV watching becuase of new technology that stops burn in. they also have the nicer pictures and are priced very reasonably.

i worked at an electronics store thats nationwide (its red) and we sold primarily Panasonics and Samsungs when it came to Plasmas.
Yes, they do not have problems like some other brands.
Samsung was rated in the top 3 just a few months ago.

LG was the second Korean-based company in the top three.

A Japanese brand rounded-out the top three.

So yes, Samsung is definitely a good brand for Plasma TVs, beating out the Japanese company.
its a okay brand
Yea... it's a good brand... You can also have a look at Philips, Sharp Aquos, Toshiba Regza, LG, Sony or Panasonic Vierra models...These are all the best selling brands.. So far i've seen all this brands in the shop and they all offer superb picture quality...

Professional in TVs and home theaters..
Yes, I have a Samsung 50" Plasma Screen Television and couldn't be more happier. It has crystal clear picture and a GREAT virtual surround sound built in. Samsung is a great quality and has a great reputation also. If I had to choose all over again, I would choose the Samsung HANDS DOWN! Good luck and enjoy your new quality television. (If you buy it)
Samsung and LG are the top of my list if I want plasma.
DO NOT buy plasma...for less money and better overall quality and lasting power...buy a Samsung LCD...stay AWAY from Plasma at all costs!
Wow you got to be kidding me.

Just wait unit the warranty is out, youll see 1-3 years later youll contact me saying you were right.

As a TV repair shop, we get in all the junk.

And the worst brand is, Samsung.
Heres an true example.

I wouldnt recommend any Samsung products, esp their DLP is the worst!

I own and run a TV Shop and I had to put up with alot of their products in my shop right after warranty. More DLP Samscums than the others but they are all terrible in quality.

Customer called up and scheduled a service call, she had a Samscum DLP 2005 audio went out, so I tryed to get the audio ICs them selves but samsung dosnt do just parts replacement, (if its generic I can find them else where) So I told her that due to samsungs brilliance we have to replace the whole board., which costed alot of $.

Samsung,Phillips/Magnavox,Funa... Products (Emerson,Sylvania..)RCA,Prosca... are the absolute worst when it comes to quality.

So after getting tired of repairing all of walmart junk, and I wanted to sell tvs I wouldnt have to work on, so I decided to sell Sony. They are the best out there for quality, picture, and parts availability.

:) Just a FYI
Samsung has good LCD. Samsung & all the rest could not make a good Plasma, because it's not good technology to start with, neither is DLP, since we are on the subject. Go LCD & go Sony or Samsung.
That's my honest answer.
