I have been trying to get an answer by internet and by phone, and can't. I have FOX East and West on Directv, I don't have HD equipment, probably won't until 2015, will I still have these channels after America goes digital? It seems to me, since it is digital already, it should still work. Although if I can get a converter box, I may have FOX on a subchannel, CW too, but I don't know for sure. If I get my local digital signals, I think I would have all the networks.

you won't get full hd on an old analog set , but directv will 'down convert' the digital signals for you for at least as long as you use their box!
You're doing it now! I watch digital tv on my directv, it can send out to an hdmi or a component connection or way old fashioned antenna connection!
directv has a digital over the air receiver built in!
Don't worry about that! Its all about money. They would never lose their customers so they always have some patches and upgraded gadgets to sell you, take your money on the system you were using fpr free.
