if i remember correctly LCD tvs are better. If im right then the lcd tvs last longer then the plasma screen tvs.
I would recommend LCD, but it really depends on what you're using it for as well as the price range. Plasma's in this size will typically be cheaper, but quality might be a little lower. You'll probably be in the price range of 1000 to 2000 again depending on model features etc.
lcd doesn't take problems as many as plasma take

i just did some research on lcd's and plasma tv's and i think you should go with the lcd.With the plasma you will have to replace the bulb after so many hours and that can be very costly..
