What is H-fill?

I was looking at HDTV option, and most of the new ones give the impression of being to have that pick.

Answers:    H fill is when you clutch a 4:3 video (black bars on right and moved out side of screen) and stretch it horizontally to fill out a 16:9 (wide screen) HDTV set. I intuitively don't like how things look within that mode as everything is out of proportion due to the stretching.

Here is an article that talks give or take a few aspect ratios next to examples.

On some HDTVs now, they hold more options contained by the display mode, like 1) Full -( 16: 9 images)
2) 4:3 ( displays standard Def descriptions with gray vertical side bars)
3) Just, H-Fill, and Zoom( which stretch or zoom standard imagery to fill the TV's 16:9 screen)
All these modes can be select with a capacity of program types, except H-Fill ( Horizontal Fill), which is for Hi Def in-puts only.
