Philips Wide screen LCD tvs? Should I get one?

I really need some help on this one so please help me. I want to buy a new tv and have found one i think is good but i want to make sure because i only have on shot at this b/c my morgage is going up 700 dollars a month so im desperate! thanks!

Phillips is a good brand name to purchase, I'm sure you'll be happy with your decision.

As for your mortgage, I think it's about time you looked at a "fixed interest" rate.
I really don't like any Phillips electronics, so I would not get that TV if it was the only one left------- well, maybe if it was really the last TV. But I like either Sony or Samsung in LCD. Please don't get DLP, or Plasma anything. I only paid $ 1995.00 Can. for a 42" LCD HDTV Grand Wega.
My next choice would be Samsung 42" LCD, but if the Sony is close in price, I'm going with the Sony everytime. I hope I didn't mess up your thinking, but paying a little bit more now will save you a bundle down the road, if you get something cheap & it spends half its time in the shop.
