I want a 32" lcd tv with at least 1500:1 color ratio. i am looking inexpensive. i have had my eye set on a Syntax Olevia 32" 16:9 8ms HD LCD TV Model 332H which is about 520$. i am willing to spend up to 600$ and i want to know if there is anything better, or if this is truley the bargain for tv's at this point

Don't bother wasting your money on an Olevia. And don't look just at a 1500:1 color ratio. Basically, it means squat. You aren't going to get an anywhere close to good tv with 600 bucks. If you spend about 700-800 you can get a westinghouse 32 inch lcd and that is going to be a better buy.
that is the best tv in your budget so just go for it, and buy it.
