The sound isnt working sorrectly on my tv and i believe it is the speakers. I was wondering if i get some external speakers like a home theater system, will that solve my problem or will the external speakers put out the same sound as the tv is currently giving. The sound is staticky and when the volume is all the way up you can barely hear it. you can barely if at all make out what is being said.

It sounds like a blown speaker problem. An external sound source should fix the problem and if it doesn't at least then you know it's the tv. In my opinion, as the manager of a consumer electronics store, I would think that it is just the speakers and that the output wouldn't be affected.
