I have my television hooked up to my dvd player via coaxial. I don't have cable, just an old pair of rabbit ears that aren't very good, but I was getting LPB in pretty clear. I change the dvd and antenna out when I want to watch one or the other, because running the antenna through the dvd player was degrading the quality. So yesterday I turn on the dvd player and the signal seems to pulse from clear to distorted about once per second. Thought maybe it was the coax so I used another one and same thing. Then I plugged in the antenna and got the same interference. I thought maybe it was somebody working on something close by. Sure enough, later on the dvd player got no interference anymore. But when I switch to antenna, it comes back. Any idea what in the world could be causing this?

Aliens. Sounds like there sending there mind control signal to you, and its working !
Being serious, try it on another television and see if you have the same problem. I would bet not. It sounds like the coax plug in the back of your television is getting a bad connection. It is a cheap fix. I wouldn't do it myself if you have no clue what your doing..but the cost would be next to nothing. Hell. go to a rent to own place and get ya a 52 inch plasma.
I would blame the old rabbit ears , get yourself an outdoor antenna and solve all your problems at one fell swoop .
