Answer:
It looks like 1928.
1969
1946
1907 in Russia the first television system using a cathode ray tube was made.
1924. It was shown during an expo of the future. It did not become mass produced until after WWII. 1946 in New York City is where it first caught on.
I think it was around 1945 or '46. In 1948 My grandma and grandpa had the first T.V. in our neighborhood, and, I think the T.V. had been out for at least a couple years before then. We all use to gather at their house to watch shows we use to listen to on the radio.
TV was actually made in 1935 . it was taken over by the US government. There must have been a leak because Comic Book Character Dick Tracey had a 2 way wrist TV. .
It was for sale to the Public in 1945. The first one I saw had a huge box and about a 5 inch screen.
Philo Farnsworth was the first of two inventors who was successful in demonstrating the transmission of television signals, on September 7, 1927. This was done with the help of a scanning tube of his own design. Farnsworth received a patent for his electron scanning tube in 1930.
The other inventor a Russian born American patented the scanning tube in 1923, but it was rejected because it was not functioning. He did not get it right until sometime in the 1930's.
Thank you PBS I watched the story of television on WGBH channel 2 in Boston.
