Big screen Tv?
Ok give me the pro's and con's
Also backing it up with a-900W XM-Ready 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System w/ Progressive-Scan DVD/CD/MP3 Player-HT-7000DH
Answer:
Well the PRO is it's a brand name...you can get parts.
The CON is that the parts for JVC TV sets are UNGODLY expensive, and I don't care too much for the most common board failure that COSTS YOU $700 for the board alone!
As for me, I chose the HITACHI 51F59, because in the last 4 years the ONLY repair I have seen on Hitachi is the Convergence amplifiers and replacing BOTH only costs $300. And I have only done 3 to 5 in the last 4 years!!
NOW, it's true the JVC is only 720 Native resolution..the Hitachi is 1080 Native resolution !!
Yes, I wanted the highest resolution for the best price. I paid $800 for mine, now I find it's $900..I guess everybody caught on and are stripping the supply.
With your Home Theater, remember to use either OPTICAL or Digital Coaxial for TRUE DOLBY SURROUND. I hook up my Satellite and DVD directly into the Onkyo I have, and the sound freaks out my wife and cats ! It's funny to watch the cats shoot over to one of the corners where a bird just chirped
Pros: OK Picture
Cons: JVC HD-ILA Has Many Many Problems with their units.
I suggest going with a different brand.
Like a Sony or Toshiba DLP/LCD/Plasma
Pros: 720p - perfect for video games
Cons: If that's a Best Buy TV you better get the extended warranty. The link below is just hearsay, but I'm not a fan of Best Buy quality.
