Question about chewed up tv cable...?
Answer:
Well, since the dog chewed through the cable. All that has happened is the ground sheild is broken and can cause RF bleed to other items in the house. Yes, you can put electrical tape on it ,but, it will not be as good as a new peice of cable. The best thing to do is as soon as you can afford it go ahead and buy a new cable to replace the pld one. That way it gives you 100% RF sheilding and you won't be interfering with other electronics by the bad section. Hope this helps you out.
Probably. Those cables are insulated fairly well so they don't pick up any interferance. You won't have to worry about fires or anything. Just drop in picture quality. If your picture is a little fuzzy, just go to any electronices department and get a new cable.
Yeah, if it works now, then he didn't do any damage to the actual cable. A little electrical tape should do the trick.
Coaxial 75 ohm? Do you still receive a good TV signal? It's a easy fix if it isn't working right, just replace the damaged section.
by "cable" do you mean the electrical cord for your tv or the actual cable tv cable? if its the electrical cable you need to fix that right or you can set fire to your house, dont just put electrical tape on it. if its the cable tv cable, well.not very dangerous but it might affect your reception and internet, just buy a new one they are cheap. (digital quality though) dont buy the crap kind...buy RG6 not RG59
