My plasma screen has turned half black how can i fix . it might be screen burn?

Answer:
I too have a plasma. I got an $8,ooo floor model from Sears w/ discounts- $2,500 about 2 yrs ago. I was leary it being on the sales floor. Displayed, maybe 6-10 months, I bought the expensive extended warranty because the price was way too good to pass up. I checked out lcds & asked around. I'm always worried though because I was told they will not repair a burnt image. You shouldn't pause anything & never play video games on them. Hate to say but this sounds like a burn. If you do have a warranty though, get it checked. When we 1st hooked it up, our screen would be black. Sears tech's were inexperienced where I live outside of Pittsburgh. I called Toshiba 800 no & they couldn't help much but tried. Finally, Sears after 2-3 service calls got extra tech support from Pittsburgh, IT WAS ONLY A LOOSE WIRE inside the tv. It was painful watching the screws come off the back, I didn't want Sears to make it worse. They did tell me tv's only have a certain lifespan. Hope it's minor for you. Do all the checking you possibly can.
