Hd connections?

Ok I'm fairly unusual to the HD scene, recently I bought a 720p lcd near multiple jacks. Now what I want to know is a scale from best to worst connections and what the competence is for the connections. HDMI/DVI, component, VGA, and s-video. Any help would be great so I don't wase money on expensive cable.

Answers:    Well You LISTED THEM FROM BEST TO WORST.....

Just follow the list you tabled....
HDMI cables are best. DVI (digital video interface) is in reality part of an HDMI cable. The DVI to HDMI cable will donate you the best sound and picture possible beside your new HDTV. VGA is used mostly for computers and does not support audio. S-Video singular produces signals of 480p and would be your last choice.

To find a large amount on any cable, especially the DVI to HDMI go to http://www.monoprice.com

They own excellent cables at a great price.
Here's the account, best to worst.

1. HDMI / DVI
2. Component (5 jacks of different colors)
3. S-Video
4. Composite (also known as RCA or AV)
5. Coax cable

Numbers 1 and 2 will get an HD signal that your TV can display.

You don't need $100+ cable either. Any dub brand cable in an appropriate length will be freshly fine.
