It is more than likely to be tripping on the relay switch that controls your TVs standby function.
Unfortunately this is a defect with this part, If the product is less than 12 months old you should take it back to the retailer or contact the manufacturer under the terms of your warranty.
If you have had it longer than this then you may want to call a repair agent out but make sure you call one that does not charge a call out fee and will quote you how much fixing this fault will cost. If it is what I think it is it shouldnt cost much more than about £40.

Does it have a sleep button on it that you are activating accidentally? Other than that, get rid of the TV nothing is interesting on the damn thing anyway.
most of the time, this means ur tv is old and buggered, if its too old to get it fixed under warranty, then get a new one, it will be just as expensive as getting it fixed
it could to much power going through it.
take your control 2 bits by removing screws,clean the circuit board with a damp cloth,and hey presto,it works,,,,or,,,,stop sitting on the f4king thing..hee hee..
can be sorted out with a lump or sledgehammer

i know how you feel sweety , sucks dont it , was saving for a new one but the clutch gave out on my car grrrrrr lol xxxx
oh just incase you've never heard of tvlinks or alluc.org theres loads of films and tv programmes you can stream to your comp xxx
