i am looking to buy the best for my money?do NOT want to buy a Vizio asnd find out it sucks?i am wanting 40 incher or bigger. please help?


Answers:    Charlie - yes, you nouns confused! At 40" you are looking at an LCD. At 42" and up you can include plasma screens and flipside projection sets. It depends on your use, as to which is best for you.

First, read over the 2 below sites so you have some wearing clothes general info on plasma and LCD HDTVs. Then, positively read the 11/07 Consumer Reports HDTV article where here are ratings on performance and reliability. You can take it at your local library or subscribe on-line.
No, you don't want a Dell or a Vizio. If plasma, I suggest you look at the Panasonic and Pioneer, and maybe Hitachi. If LCD, depending on eyeshade size, look especially at Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba, and Sharp. Absolutely stay away from those brands you have never associated next to TVs! Good hunting.
