Recording freeveiw?
Answer:
If your freeview is connected using a scart lead then it should be already on one of your videos AV channels. You can't turn over when you're recording something though.
My freeview is hooked up through my video using a scart lead and then a scart lead running from my video to my TV and that works a treat.
Use a video or DVD recorder. Nothing special about freeview once it is inside your TV.
You could always, Buy a digital recorder. I`v just bought one and there really easy to use.
If you have a VCR, you can connect it to your Freeview box (SCART to SCART), but when you want to record Freeview, you have to set the VCR to record on AV1 or AV2, or L1 or L2, etc. Just look for the 'extra' channels, usually beyond/below 1. Experiment and see which it is. It should work.
Otherwise, you can buy a dedicated PVR with DVB facility.
Have you a digital recorder? If not get one the retailer will install and demonstrate how to use same. If you have contact your retailer for advice.
If you have one of the old Freeview boxes then it will only have one Scart connection on it, that is to connect up to the TV, the newer ones have one that connects up to your vcr as well, but remember you can not record one channel whilst watching another unless you have a box that will let you do that,[ twin tuners].
Twin scart Freeview boxes are only about £30.00 not sure about the twin tuner ones though. Hope this is of some use...
