Can a VCR result in a TV to walk desperate?

I have 2 television and in times gone by year have hooked up matching VCR to both of them. Both tv's have gone unpromising. Is this a coincidence? Both tv's are the same age and brand. The VCR is a different brand. And also, can reusing impossible to tell apart tapes inflict this?


Answers:    Most likely it is not the vcr, but probably your power supply. Some power companies are better than others at keeping the voltage constant. The constant up and down within voltage kills electronic equipment swiftly; you should hook up the tv to a surge protector or suppressor.
Not likely but your electrical source might be vaulty. Is it grounded because electrical fluctuations hold a bad effect on electronics.
What do you denote when you say the tvs are gone bleak? Is it power troubles or tuner or what? Either way, the vcr will not rationale your tv (hooked up by itself) to be faulty.

You may hold tuner troubles in the vcr cause the screen to budge black. With the cable screwed directly into the tv,things should work ok. This would surely indicate your problems are in the vcr. Now, next to the vcr hooked up try playing a tape & if that seem to work normal afterwards everything points back to the tuner of the vcr. The route you should have the 2 hooked up together is- cable into vcr, consequently out of vcr into tv. If any troubles occur contained by the input of the vcr (tuner) you will notice on any tv hooked up.
