Is it true that in a very well lit room it is preferable to have an LCD than a Plasma TV?

I was convinced to by a Plasma, then I heard that in a well lit room it is better to have an LCD as the plasma has a problem with glare and reflection on the screen

Answer:
That's what they say. However, the newer plasma screens are supposed to be less reflective so I guess the real test is setting the unit up and seeing how it works for you.

I have a Panasonic plasma HDTV but I use it in a subdued lighting room so I don't have any problems with reflections.
yes
plasmas suck they overheat lcd are good i recomend dlp (digital light progection) i have one its 56 in really nice. if its either lcd or plasma go with lcd if ur out there looking deffianatly dlp.
PLASMA SUCKS AS$. GO LCD OR DLP
A very well lit room will do better with an LCD because it uses a back lit technology meaning that the LCD is pushing light out of the screen while plasma emit (glow). So when light its a plasma it goes dull. The new LCD by the better brands use non reflective class screens on the LCD. Go with a Sony or a Sharp for your best results.
