Sharp Aquos HDTV.. immediately what?
I have a Bose surround nouns system with DVD player - do I call for anything special for that? I don't have any BluRay DVDs or anything resembling that, just your standard DVDs.
I am for a moment confused on how this whole HD entry works. It is it really just as smooth as calling up my local company and upgrading?

Answers: As far as your cable company go, you could already have access to some HD channel depending on what service you currently have. Usually if you own digital cable you will be able to draw from the local broadcast cahnnels at least. Calling them would probably be easiest if you are not sure of what requests to be done. For your cable television it would be best to own and HDMI cable carrying the signal from your cable box to your TV. Since you have a nouns system, it would be best for you to use a optical toslink cable going from your cable box to your Bose system.
if you want HD programming on your new TV, consequently you should call your cable company and notify them you want to get HD programs. They will probably transport a technician to your home to hook up an HD convertor box, and probably you have to pay envelope more for HD channels than the standard ones. If you want to attain the max out of your HDTV than i suggest getting a blu-ray player or an HD-DVD player, but i think blu-ray player is better since entertainment companies close to Warner Bros just announced their switching to Blu-ray. If you don't want to put forth the dosh to purchase a blu-ray or hd-dvd player, than I suggest going out and buy a dvd player that has HDMI port if you don't already enjoy one, and you must get an HDMI cable to jump along with it.
